The Southern Tier of Upstate New York offers a wide range of Jewish cultural activities. The Binghamton area supports three synagogues, a pre-K through 8th grade Hillel Academy, a JCC, and the Binghamton University Hillel.

Binghamton Jewish Community

Hillel Academy of Broome County

Hillel Academy of Broome County is a community day school serving Jewish children in and around Broome County from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The mission of Hillel Academy is to provide a comprehensive, stimulating and enriching integrated Jewish and secular education. It seeks to educate each child to realize his or her potential as an informed, thoughtful and responsible member of the Jewish community and of the American and world society.
Jewish Federation of Broome County

The Jewish Federation is the major volunteer philanthropic and umbrella organization for the Jewish Community of Broome County, collecting and distributing funds that support several agencies including: Israel (through United Jewish Communities) Jewish Family Service, Hillel Academy, The Jewish Community Center of Broome County, The Reporter Newspaper Group, Hillel on SUNY Campus and others.

Through its Endowment Fund the Federation supports Jewish educational endeavors and emergency aid throughout our community.

As a volunteer led organization we welcome members willing to participate in making our community and the world a better place to live for Jews and non-Jews alike.

Jewish Community Center

Over the past 70 years, the JCC has proudly served the entire Broome County area. We are dedicated to providing programs that will enhance the quality of life for everyone from infants to senior citizens.
Binghamton Hillel

Hillel's future is held in its strengths: being a bridge to all communities, sponsoring pluralistic programming, being a center of Jewish life for all types of Jews, developing a Jewish identity without losing a connection to the universal world, and creating a sense of Jewish community on campus.
